In his freshman year, Summy made an impressive debut by winning the 2023 Boilermaker Invitational. This victory was just the beginning of a promising career. In 2025, Summy reached the pinnacle of his amateur career, winning the 123rd Western Amateur. This victory not only earned him a spot in the Korn Ferry Tour's 2026 NV5 Invitational but also caught the attention of the USGA's International Team Selection (ITS).
