Family house set ablaze in a significant fire incident, reported by POL-CE
In the early hours of Saturday, August 23, 2025, a severe case of arson occurred in the southeastern part of the Celle district. The incident took place around 2:30 AM at a single-family home in the municipality of Ahnsbeck.
Residents of the home were awakened by a smoke alarm and discovered flames near the front door. Fortunately, the residents were able to extinguish the flames independently before the fire could spread further.
During the police investigation, no evidence of self-ignition was found, leading the Celle police to suspect that an accelerant was used by unknown perpetrators. The police are urging anyone with relevant information to contact them at 05141/2770.
