Famous Japanese Blogger Joins Kazakhstan's Tourism Promoters to Exhibit Its Stunning Sights
In Vienna, the blogging journey of Yuji Beleza took off after he earned a degree in political science. His passion for languages, a tool he believes deepens cultural insight and enriches one's role as a global citizen, led him to master numerous tongues, including Kazakh.
Beleza's street-language content quickly gained popularity, and his ability to switch seamlessly between multiple languages while conversing with tourists was first showcased in his viral Turkish-language videos, posted in 2023.
Motivated by comments suggesting he looked Kazakh, Beleza decided to learn the language and explore its culture. This decision led him to his first Kazakh friend during his student exchange in Russia and eventually to his connection with the country.
In December 2024, Yuji Beleza was awarded the title of Tourism Ambassador of Kazakhstan by the Kazakh Tourism national company. The title was given to him at the Kazakh Embassy in Austria, marking a significant milestone in Beleza's relationship with Kazakhstan.
Beleza's recent visit to Kazakhstan was his fourth trip. During this visit, he explored the country's natural beauty, hosted a fan meeting in Almaty, and improved his Kazakh skills. Horseback riding at Kolsai and Kaiyndy lakes in the Almaty Region was on Beleza's to-do list.
For Beleza, language is a gateway to cultural insight, nurturing cross-cultural understanding, and personal growth. Conversationally fluent in Kazakh, Russian, English, German, Turkish, Serbian, Spanish, and Danish, among others, Beleza emphasized the remarkable hospitality of the Kazakh people as one of the aspects of Kazakh culture that left the greatest impression on him.
Looking ahead, Beleza hopes to bring Japanese and European influencers to Kazakhstan, collaborating with local celebrities like Gennady Golovkin and Dimash Qudaibergen to further boost the country's tourism industry. His passion for languages, combined with his love for Kazakhstan, promises an exciting future for this global citizen and Kazakh Tourism Ambassador.
