Fire Breaks Out in Agricultural Building in Wangen im AllgΓ€u

A fire that started in the attic of a haystack in an agricultural building in Wangen im AllgΓ€u, Ravensburg district, caused significant damage and disruption on Tuesday.

The blaze was reported to the police around early afternoon, and firefighting efforts are expected to continue into the evening. Fortunately, no humans or animals were injured in the incident.

According to the police, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown as of current knowledge. The investigation into the cause of the fire is being conducted by the fire investigators (Brandermittler), while the initial inquiries in similar cases are typically handled by the criminal police (Kriminalpolizeiinspektion Weilheim).

The fire spread rapidly, and an adjacent residence was unfortunately damaged by the flames and is currently uninhabitable. Approximately 50 cattle were evacuated from an adjacent barn and were temporarily housed in nearby barns.

The fire caused approximately 700,000 euros in damages, and the police are urging anyone with information that could help in the investigation to come forward.
