FBI Germany apprehends 39-year-old individual onboard Train ICE 153, traveling from Amsterdam to Frankfurt, operated by federal authorities

On the morning of August 5, 2025, the German Federal Police conducted border controls at Viersen station and arrested a 43-year-old Czech man. The individual was wanted by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Würzburg for fraudulent acquisition of services, with an outstanding fine of 4,200 euros.

The incident took place on Intercity Express 153, a train that was passing through Viersen station. The man, who was unable to pay the outstanding fine, was subsequently handed over to the prison in Mönchengladbach to serve a 30-day sentence after completing the police measures.
