In a surprising turn of events, FC Bayern Munich and Chelsea are locked in negotiations over the potential transfer of Nicolas Jackson. The news, first reported by The Athletic, has sent ripples through the footballing world.

Initially, a loan deal for Jackson seemed unlikely, with Munich seeking reinforcement in attack. However, recent developments suggest that Bayern may be looking to acquire the young striker permanently.

Jackson arrived in Munich yesterday to sign the contract with FCB and undergo the medical check. According to Sky, he is currently in the city. The loan fee for Jackson is reported to be €13.5 million, with an option to buy for the following season. The buyout amount for Jackson is set at €65 million.

Bayern's sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed that Chelsea wants the player back, but the German record champion is still pushing for a transfer. The current status of negotiations is that Nicolas Jackson is on loan from Chelsea to Bayern Munich with a conditional purchase obligation. Bayern must start him in 40 matches across all competitions this season for the transfer to become permanent, a condition that Bayern's honorary president Uli Hoeneß considers unlikely.

Chelsea's sudden request for Jackson's return, after an agreement was reached the previous day, has added an unexpected twist to the transfer saga. Despite this, the transfer could still be finalised before the transfer deadline on September 1.

Interestingly, Chelsea might still sign a striker by the deadline, as they look to bolster their attacking options.

This potential transfer of Nicolas Jackson from FC Chelsea to FC Bayern Munich is a significant twist in Bayern's search for a new offensive player. The negotiations are scheduled for Sunday morning, and both clubs will be hoping to reach an agreement that suits all parties involved.
