Featured Educator at School: Manuel "Scara" Scaramuzzino (associated with Max Romeo, Dennis Bovell, Jason Cooper)
In the heart of London, Manuel Scaramuzzino, a renowned name in the music industry, is making waves as a teacher and a professional at our esteemed Music School. As a passionate advocate for Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Reggae, Dub, and Neo Soul music, Scaramuzzino brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom.
Scaramuzzino, also known as "Scara," began his journey in music at the tender age of 14 when he started building his vinyl collection. His love for music soon led him to pursue a career in music production, a path that has seen him collaborate with numerous studios and artists from around the world.
At our school, Scaramuzzino teaches three key modules: Mastering, Art of Mixing, and Sound Engineering. In the Mastering module, students learn how to finalize a song for distribution, gaining the skills necessary to prepare their music for the world. The Art of Mixing module focuses on balancing levels, frequency management, and applying effects, while Sound Engineering delves into operating large format mixing desks and recording techniques.
Scaramuzzino's approach as an engineer is unique. He believes in understanding the vibe of the song, understanding the people around him, and creating a good mood in the studio. This philosophy shines through in his work, which includes credits from artists such as Max Romeo, Dennis Bovell, Jason Cooper (The Cure), Horace Andy, Alton Ellis, Freddie McGregor, and many more.
For those interested in enrolling, contact information for our school's Admissions Advisor is provided. Students can also benefit from free sounds, plugins, online course samples, and more when they register with our school.
In addition to his work at the school, Scaramuzzino runs masteryourtrack.com, a platform he established in 2018 and launched in 2019 to deliver his mastering services remotely. The website also boasts a blog section, offering insights into the world of music production.
Scaramuzzino wants his students to achieve a deep understanding of the tools used and the ideas behind certain approaches. His influences include engineers like King Tubby, Lee "Scratch" Perry, King Jammy, and Bobby Digital, and mixing engineer James "Bonzai" Caruso.
A standout achievement for our students is that graduates of the Music Production Advanced Diploma (Online) receive two tracks professionally mastered by Scaramuzzino himself.
Join Scaramuzzino at our Music School (London) and embark on a journey towards mastering the art of music production.
