Federal law enforcement agents execute search warrant at Weeze Airport, overseen by the North Rhine-Westphalia authority
A 41-year-old man from Guinea was arrested at Weeze Airport in Kleve-Weeze on December 30, 2024, following an ongoing investigation by the Duisburg Public Prosecutor's Office.
The arrest was made by the Federal Police Directorate Saint-Augustin, who are responsible for such operations. The individual was wanted for fraud by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Duisburg, and they had issued an arrest warrant in connection with the case.
After completing police procedures, the arrested individual paid an outstanding fine of β¬2,800 to the Federal Police. By doing so, they avoided an impending 70-day prison sentence. Following the payment, the individual was allowed to continue their journey.
