On August 19, 2025, a series of arrests were made by the Federal Police Inspectorate Dresden, uncovering several outstanding warrants and suspected criminal activities.

At 19:00, two individuals were checked near the main station. A 37-year-old Romanian was found to have an outstanding warrant for fraud from the Public Prosecutor's Office in Dresden, with a fine of 450 euros. A search revealed a clip containing 1.6 grams of cocaine in the Romanian's vehicle. Additionally, a small packet containing a white substance, suspected to be crystal, was found during the search.

Meanwhile, a 24-year-old Albanian, who was found to be staying illegally in Germany due to an entry and residence ban (having been deported to Albania in April 2025), fled on foot through the main station but was apprehended by a federal police officer, assisted by a DB security employee.

In a separate incident, at 22:45, a 44-year-old German national was arrested on the international Euro City train (Prague - Dresden) by the Federal Police Inspectorate Dresden. The German national also had an outstanding warrant for suspicion of theft and arson from the Dresden District Court.

The Albanian's employer paid a total of 2,770 euros for the three outstanding arrest warrants. Checks on the Albanian revealed two arrest warrants for theft with weapons (Public Prosecutor's Office Leipzig) and theft (Public Prosecutor's Office Chemnitz), with a total claim of 2,320 euros.

The Slovak ID card presented by the man was also listed for seizure and was confiscated. A procedure was initiated for violating the Narcotics Act.
