Federal law enforcement subdues agitated female in North Rhine-Westphalia BPOL region
A 20-year-old woman from Mülheim caused a commotion on the RE 6 train from Dortmund Central Station to Bochum Central Station on September 1st. The woman boarded the train without a ticket and showed significant resistance to Federal Police officers when they attempted to remove her.
Upon arrival at Bochum Central Station, the officers subdued the woman, restrained her, and took her to the Federal Police station. During the removal, the woman tried to break free, pushed against the direction of travel, and insulted the officers.
As the situation unfolded, it was discovered that the woman had a switchblade and a small amount of ecstasy in her pocket. The officers also found a knife and incapacitating substances on the woman.
The woman's aggressive behaviour continued in the custody cell, as she again tried to force her way out and had to be stopped by the officers. Recognising her potential need for psychiatric care, the officers called an ambulance, and the woman was taken to a psychiatric clinic.
The woman will face charges for attempted assault on and resistance against law enforcement officers, insults, fare evasion, and violations of the weapons and incapacitating substances laws.
