Festival Kick-off Overseas: Variety of Music in Bremen Revealed

The Overseas Festival, a free open-air event, took place in Bremen on August 29, 2025, and it was a resounding success. The first day of the festival featured performances by Lucky Mirlo, Captain Pfiff and The First Mates, among others, and the atmosphere was electric.

The festival showcased a variety of music genres, including indie rock, EDM, world music, retro hip-hop, singer-songwriter performances, and readings. The Rampensau stage saw Captain Pfiff and The First Mates perform robust indie-punk, while Captain Mirlo delivered Caribbean rock-soul-pop on the Hansator stage. Blizz brought alternative R&B to the Rampensau stage, and Ultra Power Nap performed indie rock-pop on the Hansator stage.

My Amp Just Broke and Super Oud Feat. Ethinque Punch provided electronic dance music and world music respectively on the Hansator stage. Feathers And Greed performed art-psych-rock on the same stage. The indoor area featured folk and cabaret performances, but no specific acts were mentioned to have performed with softer tones and emotional depth.

The second day of the festival saw Captain Pfiff and The First Mates return to the Rampensau stage, this time with Friends28 closing the show. Pictures from both days of the festival are available, courtesy of Finigan Willem.

The festival is an important event for the Bremen music scene, and this year's support from the cultural authority was higher than ever. The audience appreciated the variety on offer, with Captain Pfiff and The First Mates, Ultra Power Nap, and Lucky Mirlo all receiving praise for their performances.

However, search results do not provide information about the artists performing on the second day, including the acts on the Rampensau stage. Despite this, the festival continues today and tomorrow, promising more music, more atmosphere, and more variety. So, if you're in Bremen, be sure to check it out!
