Festive celebration of Bilker Schützen Society
The St. Sebastianus Shooting Club Düsseldorf Bilk is gearing up for an exciting fifth season, with a new motto that reflects the club's commitment to community and tradition: "Shooters meet Carnival."
At the heart of this vibrant club is Martin Kramp, the new Regimental King of the Bilk Shooters. Kramp, who took over the position of Major in 1999, has been an active member since 1972 and is a staunch advocate of the shooting sport. He led his battalion through the parade for the 20th time this year, a testament to his dedication and leadership.
Kramp, who was also recently crowned the new Regimental Junior Shooting King, emphasizes the importance of helping others. "Being a shooter means helping," he says.
Two members who embody this spirit are Dominik Langerbeins and Laura Breuer. Alongside promoting the shooting sport to young people, they consider the club as a family. Langerbeins and Breuer, who are cousins, have been deeply involved in the St. Sebastianus Shooting Club Düsseldorf Bilk and the St. Sebastianus Schützenverein Düsseldorf Bilk, where Langerbeins has been crowned the new Regimental Junior Shooting Queen.
Ulrich Müller, the 1. Chairman of the St. Sebastianus Shooting Club Düsseldorf Bilk, conducted the awarding of the Jakob Faasen Plaque to Jonges-Baas Wolfgang Rolshoven. Rolshoven, known for his commitment to promoting local traditions and culture, was involved in the ceremony in 2025.
The Bilk Shooters will be sharing their premises with some carnival enthusiasts for the upcoming season, further cementing their role as a vital part of the local community. As the club continues to grow, the hearts of its members, such as Langerbeins and Breuer, remain deeply connected to its roots.
As the new season approaches, the Bilk Shooters are ready to uphold their traditions while embracing new opportunities. The spirit of camaraderie, community, and service that defines the club continues to thrive, ensuring another successful year for the St. Sebastianus Shooting Club Düsseldorf Bilk.
