Gymkhana, acclaimed Indian restaurant, to open in Las Vegas this fall

Gymkhana, a two-Michelin-starred Indian restaurant from London, is set to make its debut in the United States, specifically at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas this fall 2025. The exact opening date has not been announced yet, but MGM Resorts has promised to share more details in the coming months.

The restaurant will showcase Indian cuisine, with a focus on tandoor-grilled specialties, regional curries, fragrant biryanis, and chaat-style sharing plates—reflecting the breadth of Indian culinary traditions. In addition to its signature menu items from the London flagship, the Las Vegas Gymkhana will offer new exclusive dishes unique to this location.

The design and dining experience are inspired by India’s traditional private clubs, where Indian high society dines and socializes, aiming to deliver a curated, upscale experience considered a global destination. This marks the first Indian fine dining restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip, filling a notable gap in the culinary diversity on the Strip.

Meanwhile, other notable changes are happening in the Las Vegas dining scene. Bazaar Meat by José Andrés is set to open at the Venetian on September 4, while the old Julian Serrano Tapas spot at ARIA will be occupied by Gymkhana.

Unfortunately, not all news in the local dining scene is positive. Pinches Tacos, which opened in 2013 at the Container Park, has closed due to economic factors, decreased visitation, tariffs, and immigration concerns. Additionally, Dino's Lounge, a dive bar, was damaged when a female motorist drove her car through its front wall, leaving the establishment closed for at least a week.

In a related incident, the Southern Nevada Health District temporarily closed Ever Blue Ocean Tea & Deserts due to eight demerits for violations, including no hot water from an approved source and improperly cleaned food contact surfaces. A Sonic Drive-In was also closed for similar reasons, with violations including improper chemical storage, improperly cleaned food contact surfaces and equipment, and ineffective pest control measures.

With the grand opening of Gymkhana at Aria scheduled for fall 2025, Las Vegas diners are eagerly awaiting the arrival of this world-renowned Indian restaurant.
