Finland's Prime Minister to Visit Estonia on Friday
Finland's Prime Minister, Petteri Orpo, is set to visit Estonia on Friday, marking a significant event in the bilateral relations between the two countries. The location of the visit will be Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia.
During his visit, Prime Minister Orpo will meet with Prime Minister Kristen Michal and Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna. The discussions between the two leaders are expected to cover a wide range of topics, including the main areas of cooperation in their bilateral relations, the international security situation, and common challenges in the region.
Finland's role in Estonia extends beyond just being a neighbour. The country plays a crucial role in establishing and protecting energy connections vital to Estonia. Furthermore, Finland is instrumental in ensuring security in the Baltic Sea region for Estonia.
Prime Minister Michal has expressed her appreciation for Finland, describing it as one of Estonia's closest friends and allies. In a statement, she said, "Good neighbours are priceless in today's world."
After their meetings, Prime Ministers Orpo and Michal are scheduled to hold a joint press conference at the Estonian Statehood House on Friday afternoon. The official program will be followed by a trip by the prime ministers to western Estonia.
Following their visit to Estonia, Prime Ministers Orpo and Michal will also visit Latvia and Lithuania in the afternoon. This visit is expected to strengthen the ties between the four countries and further promote cooperation in the region.
