Fire department battles blaze in Ellhofen
A residential house in Ellhofen, a district of Heilbronn, Germany, was the site of a fire that occurred on Thursday afternoon. The fire department was promptly deployed to the scene, located on the B39, a residential area.
Thomas Oeckler, the fire department's deployment leader, led the response team in tackling the blaze. Initial reports suggested that part of the roof and the ground floor were on fire. However, the exact nature of the property that was damaged is a residential house.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the fire. Reports of two missing children proved to be incorrect. The criminal investigation department (Kriminalpolizei) has taken over the task of determining the cause of the roof fire in Ellhofen.
The fire department has managed to control the fire, and follow-up extinguishing work is currently underway. As the house is no longer habitable, the residents will be accommodated by the municipality. The estimated cost of accommodating the residents has not been specified.
The adjacent federal road in Ellhofen remains closed until the afternoon due to the ongoing firefighting efforts. The property damage from the fire is estimated at around 500,000 euros. The cause of the fire in the roof is still unknown.
The authorities urge the public to avoid the area and follow traffic updates, as the safety of the community remains their top priority. The fire department, along with the Kriminalpolizei, will continue their investigation to determine the cause of the fire and ensure the safety of the residents of Ellhofen.
