Fire department in Bocholt expands burn workshop operations - Extensive firefighter exercises underway
In the early hours of this morning, the Bocholt Fire Department responded to an alarm triggered by the automatic fire alarm system of a company located in the Bocholt Industrial Estate. Upon arrival, firefighters found the hall complex fully engulfed in flames at Wuppings Weide.
The firefighting efforts were extensive, with the fire department deploying six fire engines, two turntable ladders, and a total of 50 personnel. The fire department ensured a constant water supply via a nearby fire water well and hydrants, a crucial factor in containing the blaze.
Through their efforts, the spread of the fire to the adjacent hall section was prevented. The fire was fought with each turntable ladder equipped with one monitor, one B-pipe, and 5 C-pipes. The fire department's actions were instrumental in limiting the damage caused by the fire.
The Bocholt Fire Department has not released any information about the cause or identity of the company involved in the fire.
