A fire broke out in a residential apartment on Fachschulstraße in Remscheid, Germany, on Monday morning at 08:10. The Remscheid fire department, led by Einsatzleitung Mathias Fertsch, swiftly responded to the incident.

Upon arrival, smoke development was visible from the first floor of the affected building. A team of firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, was deployed to fight the fire, and two turntable ladders were positioned. Initially, it was unclear if anyone was still in the building, but it was later confirmed that no one was inside. However, the resident of the affected apartment was taken to a nearby hospital with suspected smoke inhalation.
