A tragic residential fire on Bothenstraße in Recklinghausen has left two residents deceased and ten others injured. The exact cause of the fire has yet to be determined, and so far, there are no indications of any criminal activity that may have caused the blaze.

The fire department and the criminal investigation department (police) are working together to investigate the cause of the fire. The Polizeipräsidium Recklinghausen has initiated investigations at the scene, and an apartment on the first floor is being re-examined in collaboration with an expert in the coming days.

Two residents sustained severe injuries in the fire, and their ages range from 7 to 47 years old. Ten other residents were injured in the incident and were transported to hospitals for treatment. Regrettably, a firefighter was also injured during the rescue operations.

An autopsy was conducted on the deceased individuals, but positive identification is still pending. The Polizeipräsidium Recklinghausen is continuing their investigations into the residential fire on Bothenstraße.
