In the heart of the Akmola Region, a new fire station has been inaugurated in the village of Zhenkovka, marking a significant step forward in enhancing fire safety in the area.

The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of local authorities, including Borodulikhin District Akim, Aidar Ibrayev. Ibrayev expressed his gratitude to the Pop family for their initiative in spearheading the construction of the fire station building.

The new facility is strategically located in Zhenkovka, a move that is expected to reduce response times and protect seven populated areas with a total population of 2,304.

The idea for the new fire station was a collaborative effort between local authorities and regional emergency services. This initiative comes at a time when the region has witnessed over 200 wildfires and 834 fires in total in 2021, with nearly half of these incidents occurring in residential areas.

Manarbek Shapaev, head of the regional Department of Emergency Situations, emphasised the importance of the new facility, stating that it would play a crucial role in enhancing fire safety in the region.

The new fire station is not a solitary effort, as similar facilities are planned to be opened in Andreyevsky, Dmitriyevsky, and Petropavlovsky rural districts by the end of the year.

Local resident Konstantin Pop has been instrumental in the development of the village, having assisted in the construction of a hockey rink, a post office, and other social facilities. His contributions to the community have not gone unnoticed and are greatly appreciated.

As the region continues to grow, it is essential that adequate measures are put in place to ensure the safety and well-being of its residents. The new fire station in Zhenkovka is a testament to this commitment and a beacon of hope for the future.

Meanwhile, the fire station in Nur-Sultan has already been opened, providing a model for other districts to follow. The opening of these facilities is a clear indication that the authorities are taking the issue of fire safety seriously and are committed to protecting their citizens.

In a region where fires have posed a significant threat, the opening of this new fire station brings a sense of relief and security to the residents of Zhenkovka and the surrounding areas. The fire station will undoubtedly play a vital role in safeguarding lives and property, and in ensuring the continued growth and development of the region.
