Five commonly utilized bus lines directing back to Omsk
Omsk residents will experience changes in their bus routes starting from September 1st, as announced by Mayor Sergei Shelesst. The revised routes aim to improve the city's public transportation system and cater to the needs of its commuters more effectively.
One of the most significant changes will affect Bus Route No 28, which will now travel from the Pribrezhny microdistrict to the city center via 70 Years of October Street and Architectov Bulvar. This route will be served by three large buses, with six morning and seven evening trips.
Another notable change is for Bus Route No 96, which will now have the Amursky district as its new terminal. In addition, six medium-sized buses will be deployed on this route, representing an increase of four vehicles compared to the current service. The revised route includes major thoroughfares such as Architectov Bulvar, Krupskaya Street, Dmitriyev Street, Komarova Prospekt, Krasnogo Putya Street, 7th Severnaya Street, Gerzen Street, 33rd Severnaya Street, and 21st Amurskaya Street.
In an effort to increase the overall number of buses on routes with the highest passenger demand, additional transport units will be deployed on lines No 14, 22, 24, 29, 33, 45, 78, 103, 109, and some other directions. However, the exact number of additional buses has not been specified.
Route No 32 will revert to its traditional scheme, connecting Barhatovaya Street and the railway station. Meanwhile, Buses No 107 (Chkalovsky settlement - MSCH No 9) and No 108 (Sali Katyka Street - railway hospital) will continue to transport students from areas where educational institutions are closed for repairs.
Unfortunately, the bus company responsible for these changes in Omsk bus lines starting September 1st has not been disclosed in the available information.
These changes are expected to improve the efficiency and reliability of Omsk's public transportation system, making it easier for residents to navigate the city and reach their destinations on time.
