Gevelsberg Traffic Accident: 5-Year-Old Child Injured
A distressing incident occurred on Am Sinnerhoop in Gevelsberg on September 4, 2025, at approximately 18:50. A traffic accident involving a 5-year-old child resulted in severe injuries.
According to the information transmitted by the Kreispolizeibehörde Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis, the child ran onto the roadway between parked cars and was hit by a VW. The driver, a 31-year-old from Wuppertal, attempted an evasive maneuver but could not prevent the collision. The child was thrown onto the hood of the car and then onto the roadway.
The child was taken to a nearby hospital with severe injuries. Fortunately, the current condition is not life-threatening.
