Flamingo Vacation: Continuation of previous report - A visiting animal from the southern regions takes a break at Lake Titicaca, and now, a young flamingo plans to spend the night in the Black Forest at an elevation of 845 meters above sea level.

In the heart of Freiburg, Germany, an unexpected visitor has made headlines. On Friday, September 5, 2025, residents of Titisee spotted a flamingo sleeping on the water's edge at an unusual time, around 20:00. This is not a common sight for tourists in Titisee, as flamingos are not local species.

The flamingo, with its grey feathers indicating a likely young age, was reported to the Titisee-Neustadt police station. After consultation with experts, it was decided that the flamingo would be captured and taken to an emergency animal shelter.

The photograph of the flamingo at Freiburg Police Headquarters has since been published, much to the delight of the public. The photograph, published on September 5, 2025, at 21:58, does not contain any advertisements and is available for public viewing. It shows the flamingo at Freiburg Police Headquarters, a stark contrast to its usual habitat.

Despite inquiries at a nearby zoo, no information about the flamingo's origin has been found. The expert consulted by the Titisee-Neustadt police station for the assessment of the flamingo was not named in the available search results.

The flamingo's supposed ring on its leg, though underwater, did not provide any information about its identity. Until then, the flamingo, now named Unknown, continues to captivate the hearts of the people of Freiburg.
