Focus on Care: AOK and County Establish Strong Mark

On a sunny July day in 2025, the District of FĂźrth played host to the Day of Action "Health Care - Staying Healthy." This event, jointly organised by AOK FĂźrth and GesundheitsregionPlus, aimed to show appreciation for caring relatives and provide them with concrete ways to take care of themselves.

The event, which took place at the AOK business office in FĂźrth, was attended by around 50 participants who were eager to inform themselves and exchange ideas. District Administrator Bernd Obst and AOK Director Andreas Kaiser opened the event, emphasising the indispensable role of caring relatives within the healthcare system.

The focus of the day was on those who perform daily tasks and often reach their limits. Bernd Obst stressed the importance of these individuals, stating that they are an integral part of the healthcare system. Andreas Kaiser, on the other hand, stressed the need for creating sustainable structures to make care healthier.

The day was filled with informative sessions and practical workshops. A specialist lecture was delivered, while two workshops focused on relaxation and ergonomic care. Information stands with consulting offers were also available, providing attendees with a wealth of resources.

The event showcased the importance of close cooperation between regional partners to relieve caring relatives. This cooperation was evident in the joint initiative between AOK FĂźrth and GesundheitsregionPlus, with both organisations providing concrete help during the event and planning further joint initiatives.

The event was part of a larger initiative, with the Day of Action "Health Care - Staying Healthy" on July 18, 2025, being organised in cooperation by the German Federal Ministry of Health (BMG), the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), and various health insurance organisations.
