In a tense moment during Saturday night's match between FC Bayern Munich and FC Augsburg, a violent head collision between Sacha Boey of Bayern and Robin Fellhauer of Augsburg has caused a stir.

The collision, which occurred in stoppage time of Bayern's 3:2 win, left Fellhauer lying on the pitch for minutes before being carried off on a stretcher. Initial estimates suggest that Fellhauer has sustained a concussion and will be out for several weeks.

The incident has drawn harsh criticism from some, including FC Augsburg's coach, Sandro Wagner. Wagner expressed disappointment with Boey's actions during the collision and suggested that some members of the Bayern bench could have reacted more quickly to the situation. Heiko Herrlich, the coach of FC Augsburg, shared similar sentiments, voicing his concern over Boey's lack of immediate apology.

However, Bayern Munich's coach, Niko Kovac, has not yet commented on the incident. Vincent Kompany, coach of Bayern Munich, defended Boey, stating that he did apologize. Kompany also wished Fellhauer a speedy recovery on behalf of Bayern Munich. Manuel Neuer, goalkeeper for Bayern Munich, also extended his well-wishes to Fellhauer.

Sacha Boey himself issued an apology on social media, expressing his regret over the incident and wishing Fellhauer a speedy recovery. However, Wagner expressed disappointment that Boey appeared unfazed by the collision and did not apologize immediately.

The collision has raised questions about player safety and the need for stricter rules in soccer. As the football community awaits updates on Fellhauer's condition, the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of sportsmanship and player safety in the beautiful game.
