Food-grade materials utilized in food production
In the world of kitchen appliances, Miele is making waves with its latest offering - the Smart Steam Drawers. These innovative devices are set to revolutionize the way we cook and store food.
The Smart Steam Drawers come with two separate compartments, boasting a 14-liter capacity, which is larger than the 10-liter compartment offered by Bosch and Siemens. Siemens, however, offers automatic programs like thawing, canning, or proofing dough, while Miele offers up to 100 presets through an accompanying app.
These 3-in-1 drawers allow for thawing, cooking, and baking. To use, simply place food inside, select the temperature and time on the touch display, fill water into a small container, and close the drawer. The drawers can fit under the oven or be installed anywhere in the kitchen, functioning independently.
Miele is also presenting the digital version of a simmer pot at IFA, called the M-Sense pot. This smart pot communicates with the cooktop via Bluetooth to prevent boiling over or burning. It's worth noting that the M-Sense pot only communicates with a modern Miele induction cooktop from the KM8000 series in the high-end price range.
Miele is not stopping at just smart steam drawers and pots. The company is developing an intelligent gas grill called Fire Pro IQ, which can be controlled remotely via the Miele app and accepts recipes for preparation. This smart grill is expected to hit the market in time for the 2026 grilling season, with the manufacturer not yet revealing prices.
Miele's outdoor kitchen design is now available in matt black grey, a weatherproof finish that can withstand rain and snow showers. The company is offering outdoor kitchens with metal doors, called "Dreams", which can be assembled from 60 coordinated modules.
The Fire Pro IQ grill is not the only novelty from Miele. The grill can independently control and clean its six grill zones after use. Interestingly, Miele acquired Otto Wilde Grillers, whose expertise influenced the Fire Pro IQ development, and Otto Wilde Grillers will cease trading at the end of 2025.
Prices for these smart kitchen innovations have not yet been announced by the manufacturers. However, it's important to note that the M-Sense pot and the Fire Pro IQ grill are new innovations from Miele, promising to bring a touch of smart technology to our kitchens.
Lastly, it's worth mentioning that the M-Sense pot has three sensors integrated - one on the bottom and two on the side wall. It also contains two replaceable batteries in the handle with a touch field for activation and setting the desired dish. The smart cooking pot also functions as an analog cooking container in "dumb" mode.
In summary, Miele is leading the way in smart kitchen technology with its new innovations, including the Smart Steam Drawers, M-Sense pot, and Fire Pro IQ grill. These products are set to change the way we cook, store, and grill food, offering convenience, efficiency, and a touch of luxury to our kitchens.
