Taylan May's 2021 NRL Premiership Ring Goes Missing, Sparks Investigation

In a recent turn of events, the 2021 NRL premiership ring of Tigers winger Taylan May has mysteriously gone missing and been listed for sale on eBay for $10,000. May's manager, Ahmad Merhi, is currently trying to uncover how the ring ended up on the popular auction site.

May, a 23-year-old player, won the prestigious ring with the Panthers last year, but did not play in the grand final. Despite his off-field controversies, May has been open about his mental health battles and his time spent in a treatment facility to deal with them.

The ring's listing on eBay stated that it was not a replica or a copy, but the person who likely stole it remains unidentified. This incident has added to May's ongoing struggles with mental health, as he revealed on the Mayday podcast that he had a religious psychosis and believed he was a kind of messiah or messenger of God.

During his stay at the treatment facility, May experienced delusions and dissociation, believing the staff were his team members. After exiting the facility, he faced multiple off-field controversies, including a two-match suspension for assaulting a teenage footy fan in 2021. He also spent 436 days out of the NRL while facing domestic violence charges that were eventually withdrawn.

May's mental health demons continued to plague him during his 14 months out of the game. Four months into his return to training, he experienced a slump in his mental health, avoiding leaving his room and preaching to his family for multiple days during a dissociative state. However, his experience in the treatment facility helped him realize the closeness of his loved ones, who stayed by his side during his scary dissociative states.

Despite his struggles, May remained determined to return to the NRL and not waste his talent. He trained hard to make a comeback, but the recent incident with his premiership ring has added to his stress. May's fans and supporters are hopeful that he will overcome this latest setback and continue his journey in the NRL.

As the investigation into the missing ring continues, May's manager and the NRL are working together to find out how the ring ended up on eBay and ensure that it is returned to its rightful owner. In the meantime, May continues to focus on his mental health and his comeback to the NRL.
