The city of Landshut is gearing up for a fantastic three-day neighbourhood festival, the Bismarckplatzfest, kicking off on Friday, June 20, at 7 p.m.

The festival, supported by the city of Landshut, the government of Lower Bavaria, and local businesses and sponsors, promises a rich and diverse programme of music, dance, and gastronomy. Admission to the event is free, making it an accessible and enjoyable experience for all.

The musical program begins on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. with "Voices," a Pop/Rock band, followed by the energetic performance of "Molly Town," a Funk-Soul-Reggae-Rock band, at 10 p.m.

On Saturday, the festivities commence at 2 p.m. with the Kolping Brass Band taking the stage. At 4 p.m., the "Swinging Landshut" dance group will entertain the crowd with their Lindy Hop performance. The evening continues with "Tanz-Art" performing Flamenco at 7 p.m., and the Italian "Spice 4ever" formation, bringing back the energy and style of the Spice Girls, at a later hour.

Sunday's highlights include the Landshut City Band providing musical entertainment at 11 a.m., and the much-anticipated performance of "Help," the Beatles tribute band from Slovenia. At 1:30 p.m., "New Mountains" will take the stage, followed by Christ Waite's performance of Rock, Blues, Ballads, and Oldies at 3:30 p.m. The "Sunbear Blues Band" will play rocky blues or bluesy rock at 6 p.m., and "Brickhouse," a Pop-Rock band from Landshut, will perform at 5 p.m. The festival will conclude on Sunday evening with the captivating rhythms of "Kim Azas and Friends" at a time yet to be announced.

Various bands and action groups from Landshut will also perform on a large show stage throughout the festival.

In addition to the music, the Bismarckplatzfest offers a rich culinary experience with 2,000 seats, caterers, and various gastronomic options from sweet treats to grilled fish, as well as festival beer. A children's area with face painting, a bouncy castle, and football darts will be available from Saturday to Sunday.

The Bismarckplatzfest will be moderated by Volker Waschk, and well-known music groups and artists have been engaged for the event. The official opening will take place on Friday, June 20, at 7 p.m. by Mayor Alexander Putz and the Royal Bavarian Shooting Society Landshut.
