The coming days are set to bring some significant weather changes to Latvia, according to meteorological forecasts.

Starting from Thursday, rain clouds are expected to cross the country, bringing heavy showers in some places. The south-eastern part of Latvia may see an increase in the likelihood of thunderstorms. On Friday, another precipitation zone will move across Latvia, and some regions may experience heavy precipitation.

The western and central regions of Latvia are expected to bear the brunt of the rainfall, with forecasts predicting up to 50-70 millimeters of rain in these areas. This heavy rain could lead to new floods in certain regions of Latvia, particularly those with saturated ground and waterlogged low-lying areas.

However, the weather on Wednesday will be mostly sunny, with temperatures ranging from 20 to 24 degrees Celsius. Air temperatures during the weekend will range from +17 to +22 degrees Celsius, making it a relatively mild week overall.

Coastal areas in Latvia will be a few degrees cooler than the rest of the country during the weekend. On Thursday, air temperatures in the south-eastern part of Latvia may reach +25 C.

Unfortunately, the rain is not expected to let up over the weekend. There is a possibility of heavy rain and thunderstorms during the weekend in Latvia. The rain in Latvia in the coming days may exceed 50 millimetres in some places.

Looking ahead to the beginning of next week, the weather is expected to become cooler. More updates on the weather forecasts will be provided as the week progresses. Stay safe and dry!
