Four individuals sustained injuries in an accident that occurred in Bad Urach.
A traffic accident occurred on Saturday afternoon on the B28 near the turnoff to Hengen, involving a motorcyclist and three car occupants.
The incident involved a 22-year-old man driving a BMW, who was traveling from Bad Urach towards BoΜhringen. He had two nine-year-old passengers in the car. According to reports, the driver had to brake suddenly due to a car turning in front of him, causing him to collide with the motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist, a 64-year-old man riding a Moto Guzzi, failed to notice the BMW braking in time and collided with the car. As a result, both the motorcyclist and the driver of the BMW, along with his two nine-year-old passengers, sustained injuries. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries, while the car occupants sustained minor injuries.
The volunteer fire department from Bad Urach and Hengen was promptly on the scene, accompanied by an ambulance and a doctor. A total of 22 personnel and four vehicles from the volunteer fire department were present. The total number of injured parties was five.
During the police investigation, the B28 was completely closed in both directions for about 90 minutes. The total material damage was approximately 8,000 euros. The driver of the BMW and his passengers sought medical attention on their own, while the motorcyclist was taken to a hospital for further treatment.
The accident caused a significant disruption on the B28, leading to delays for other road users. It serves as a reminder to all drivers to remain vigilant and cautious on the roads, especially when approaching turns and intersections.
