Rivers State Local Government Elections: Martin Amaewhule Praises Election Process
Martin Amaewhule, the suspended Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, has expressed his satisfaction with the local government elections held in the state. Amaewhule made his remarks after casting his vote at Unit 15, Ward 1, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
Amaewhule commended the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) for the professionalism and orderly handling of the election. He noted that voting in his area began as early as 8:00 a.m., due to the proximity of RSIEC's headquarters to his ward and polling unit.
