Fresh wave of financial support for the arts and culture sector initiated through The Cultural Fund
The Bavarian Culture Fund has announced the launch of a new funding round for arts projects in Lower Bavaria. This initiative, supported by the Government of Lower Bavaria, aims to provide grants to artists and municipalities for a wide range of cultural activities.
Eligible applicants include cultural actors and municipalities, and the funding supports diverse investments in theatre, museums, contemporary art, music, archives, libraries, literature, and international idea exchange. Outstanding music events, competitions, theatre performances, symposia, and the construction, expansion, or renovation of rehearsal and event spaces of a non-professional music association could be funded.
Projects must have not begun, and the funding rate is up to 30% of the total eligible costs, which must be at least 10,000 euros. For measures related to barrier-free access or security measures for burglary protection in the museum sector, such as the installation of building technology, a funding rate of up to 50% is conceivable.
The funding is a sign of appreciation for the cultural and creative economy's significant contribution to social cohesion. The application process can be done digitally, and interested parties can contact the department "Communal Affairs" by phone at 0871-80 81 244 or 0871-80 81 248 with any questions.
Further information about the digital funding procedure can be found on the website of the government, while information about the Culture Fund is also available on the website of the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and the Arts. The deadline for application is October 1st.
Rainer Haselbeck, the Government President, encourages cultural actors to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to support their projects and contribute to the rich cultural landscape of Lower Bavaria.
