Fujifilm's Latest 4K Television Lens is Compact and Weighs Lightly, Boasting a 30x Zoom Capability

New Fujinon LA30x7.8 Zoom System Lens for 4K Broadcast Now Available for Order

Fujifilm has announced the launch of its new 4K broadcast zoom lens, the Fujinon LA30x7.8. The portable lens, designed for 2/3-inch sensor broadcast cameras, will be exhibited at the IBC Show 2025 in RAI Amsterdam from September 13 to 17, 2025.

The LA30x7.8 features a newly developed drive unit with high resolution 16-bit encoders for accurate position detection and control in virtual and remote production. It boasts a highest-in-class 30x zoom, covering the focal range from 7.8mm-234mm, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of broadcast applications.

The lens achieves 4K optical performance across the entire zoom range, thanks to the latest optical simulation technology. It also maintains minimal focus breathing and quiet operation, due to its rear focus mechanism design, when receiving auto focus commands from the camera.

The Fujinon LA30x7.8 is compact (190mm) and lightweight (1.7kg), offering high mobility and versatility for production. It also includes an electronic flange back adjustment feature, which offers faster and more efficient adjustment compared to the manual process.

The lens's macro function allows for closer focus up to 5cm from the front of the lens by sliding the unique focus ring forward. Fujifilm's unique multi-layer coating "HT-EBC (High Transmittance Electron Beam Coating)" is used in the lens, offering high light transmittance and accurate color reproduction.

Initial orders of the LA30x7.8 are expected to begin shipping to customers by the end of October 2025. The lens is currently available for order at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $7,299.
