"Future Shaper in the German Automotive Sector": This new model car will shape the destiny of the German automobile industry.

BMW is set to launch a new era with the introduction of the New Class, a series of electric vehicles that promises significant advancements in technical data such as range, efficiency, charging times, and environmental friendliness.

The first model of the New Class, the iX3, is not introduced at the top of the BMW model range but in the middle, with a starting price of 68,900 euros in Germany. The company plans to introduce an entry-level version around 60,000 euros, aligning its pricing roughly with today's BMW X3 level.

BMW's commitment to the electric car is evident in this new venture, despite the economic disadvantages so far. CEO Oliver Zipse describes the launch of the New Class as a "once-in-a-lifetime moment" and the "future of the car".

The new model is expected to make a significant leap in range, with an anticipated increase to 800 kilometers. Charging times are also expected to be shorter, making electric cars more convenient for daily use.

The new Panoramic iDrive operating concept is displayed in a display strip over one meter wide directly below the windshield, offering a sleek and modern interface for drivers. The computers in the new model are expected to be faster, enhancing the overall driving experience.

Batteries and drive of the new model are expected to become more efficient, which could help reduce or eliminate the profit margin difference between electric and combustion engine cars. The CO2 backpack of electric cars, a criticism often leveled against them, is expected to shrink after 21,500 kilometers in the new model, due to less CO2-intensive operation.

BMW has chosen to start the New Class in a segment with high sales figures, indicating a strategic move towards mass adoption of electric vehicles. However, no information was provided about any potential intervention by Tschentscher regarding bike routes and parking spaces.

The success or failure of the New Class concept is seen as a decisive factor for the future of BMW, which has recently experienced profit losses. The next model series of BMW's New Class will be positioned in the premium price segment, with the BMW iX3 Neue Klasse leading the way. The company does not provide exact profit margin figures for the new class.

The next model in the New Class is expected to come from BMW's bread-and-butter business with the 3 Series, further solidifying BMW's commitment to electric vehicles and its vision for the future of automotive technology.
