Gaming company, FanDuel, appoints Keith Whyte as their advisor in the field of responsible gaming
FanDuel, a leading name in the online gaming industry, has made a significant move towards strengthening its responsible gambling initiatives by appointing Keith Whyte as a strategic advisor.
Whyte, who brings a wealth of experience to the table, has served as the Executive Director at the National Council on Problem Gambling for 26 years before stepping down in January. He subsequently worked as a strategy consultant at FanDuel from 2018 to 2021.
In his new role, Whyte will be evaluating FanDuel's responsible gambling strategy and programs, aiming to contribute his expertise to further advance FanDuel's efforts in promoting safe and responsible play. He will also help create new content for FanDuel's Trusted Voices: Conversations About Betting program, a collaborative effort with EPIC Global Solutions and FanDuel's responsible gaming ambassadors Randy Livingston and Anita Ondine Smith.
The Trusted Voices: Conversations About Betting program was launched last year, and Whyte admires FanDuel's proactive approach to responsible gaming. Cory Fox, senior vice president of public policy and sustainability at FanDuel, expressed delight at Whyte joining the team as a strategic advisor for responsible gaming.
FanDuel is committed to elevating the industry standard for Responsible Gaming, and Whyte's appointment underscores this commitment. He will help identify new opportunities to further a culture of responsible gaming at FanDuel.
It's worth noting that Whyte has also set up his own advisory firm, Safer Gambling Strategies. His experience and dedication to responsible gaming make him an invaluable asset to FanDuel as they continue to shape the future of the online gaming industry.
Shares in FanDuel's parent company, Flutter Entertainment plc (NYSE:FLUT), closed 0.70% lower at $292.38 per share in New York on Thursday. Despite this, FanDuel remains a significant player in the industry, with a strong focus on responsible gaming practices.
