Gathering School Grievances by Child and Adolescent Parliament
The Marburg Children and Youth Parliament (KiJuPa) is once again spearheading a school bag collection drive, marking its 15th consecutive year. This year's campaign aims to support children and young people in Sibiu, Romania, who may not be able to afford school bags.
The twin city of the collection is Sibiu, a beautiful city in Transylvania, Romania. The drive is being organised in collaboration with the "Help for Sibiu/Hermannstadt e.V." association.
If you have a used but functional school bag or backpack, you can hand it in at the Youth House in the KiJuPa office or at the house service. The collection period ends on October 2, 20XX, and the collection hours are Monday to Wednesday from 9 am to 4 pm, Thursday from 9 am to 6 pm, and Friday from 9 am to 12 pm.
The collected school bags will be taken to Romania in the fall. Since 2010, over 2,700 school bags have been collected in Marburg for children and young people in Sibiu.
The university city of Marburg, located in Germany, is where the collection is taking place. The drive also promotes sustainability and careful use of resources, as it encourages the reuse of items instead of disposal.

Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of children in Sibiu. Let's join hands to ensure that every child has the essentials they need to attend school.
The school bag collection drive is just one of the many initiatives undertaken by the Marburg Children and Youth Parliament to foster a sense of community and to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
