German Team Suffers 2-3 Defeat at the Hands of Team Ingolstadt

In a tense match at the PSD Bank Dome, Düsseldorf (DEG) faced off against ERC Ingolstadt. The final score of the game was 2:3, with ERC Ingolstadt emerging victorious.

The game started off strongly for ERC Ingolstadt, with Wayne Simpson scoring the first goal just 10 seconds into the match. Alex Breton followed up with the second goal at the 3-minute mark, leaving DEG struggling to find their footing.

DEG's first shot on goal came at the 3-minute mark, but it was not until Jacob Pivonka scored at 33 minutes and 20 seconds that they managed to get on the scoreboard, making the score 1:3 going into the second intermission.

In the second period, Justin Richards came close to scoring a goal for DEG at the 21-minute mark, but it was not meant to be. Bernhard Ebner had a chance at 22 minutes, but Alex Ehl narrowly missed. DEG also had their best chance during a power play at 24 minutes, but once again, they were unable to capitalise.

In the final period, DEG pulled the goalie two minutes before the end, and it resulted in a goal by Drake Rymsha at 1 hour, 30 minutes, and before the end. However, it was too little, too late, and ERC Ingolstadt held on to their lead to secure the win.

Henrik Haukeland was the goalkeeper for DEG in the game, while Torsten Ankert replaced Luis Uffing in the lineup for this match.

With this loss, DEG remains in last place in the league. They will look to bounce back when they face the Straubing Tigers on Friday at 19:30. After that, they will travel to Frankfurt to face the Lions on Sunday at 2 PM.

Tickets for DEG's next game against Adler Mannheim can be purchased at www.degtickets.de. Unfortunately, DEG will not meet Adler Mannheim in the next game on Friday at the PSD Bank Arena, as it does not host a DEG vs. Adler Mannheim game on that day.
