Global Law Firm XYZ Announces Promotions of 47 Lawyers

In a significant move, global law firm XYZ has announced the promotion of 47 lawyers to partner and director positions, effective January 1, 2021, in various locations worldwide. This promotion spans 11 practice groups and 22 offices across 11 countries on six continents, reflecting the firm's global nature.

The promotions in the litigation and disputes practice group include Kate Findlay in the Toronto office, Kaitlin Long and Michael Manhas in the Calgary office, Kevin Hong in the Hong Kong office, Katie Chung in the Singapore office, and Sumera Khan in the Houston office. Additionally, Utsav Mathur in the Houston office and Bryce Perrett in the Durban office have been promoted to directors in this practice group.

In the corporate, M&A and securities practice group, promotions have been made to Reneé Loiselle in the Montreal office, Laila Paszti in the Toronto office, Rowan Weaver in the Toronto office, Craig Oliver in the Dallas office, and Agnieszka Braciszewska in the Warsaw office.

The banking and finance practice group has seen promotions for Angela Croker in the Dubai office, Noah Schein in the Toronto office, Kirstin Russell in the London office, Andrew Williams in the London office, Alexandre Roth in the Paris office, Joris Ravelli in the Amsterdam office, and Adrienne Sebring in the New York office. Furthermore, Mary Kimura has been promoted to the position of partner in the San Francisco office, focusing on public finance.

Other notable promotions include Julia Lloyd in the London office for tax, Zayed Al Jamil in the London office for intellectual property, and Nancy Montmarquet in the New York office for tax. In the employment and labor practice group, Heather Cameron has been promoted to the position of partner in the Ottawa office, and Nicki Milionis in Melbourne, Australia, and Alexandra Shields in Sydney, Australia, have been promoted to employment and labor.

In the real estate practice group, promotions have been made to Steven Choi in Sydney, Australia, and Liza Volpiana in the Vancouver office. The risk advisory practice group has seen the promotions of Rajaee Rouhani in Melbourne, Australia, and Sarah Lucey in the London office.

Notably, XYZ's firm promoted 25 female lawyers globally, representing 53 percent of the promotions. Gerry Pecht, the Global Chief Executive of XYZ, congratulated the promoted lawyers for their accomplishment.
