Granted extension for the ongoing Dresden market series over 12 weeks

The city of Dresden has announced a re-tendering for the concession of its twelve weekly markets, with the deadline for applications fast approaching on 8th August 2025 at 23:59.

The tender, published on 10th July 2025 in the electronic gazette of the city of Dresden at www.dresden.de/amtsblatt, aims to maintain diversity and attractiveness while further developing market activities for long-term security.

The successful organisation must be professional and customer-friendly, taking on the overall responsibility for all twelve markets. The initial concession period is for three years, from 1st February 2026 to 31st January 2029, with an option for an extension of up to two years, extending the concession to 31st January 2031.

The city of Dresden will provide the market areas, which include Alaunplatz, Königstraße, Hellerau, Jacob-Winter-Platz, Kopernikusstraße, Münchner Platz, Reißigerstraße, Lingnerallee, Schillerplatz, Stralsunder Straße, Böhnischplatz, and Wasaplatz.
