Gratitude for relieving spirits: Extolling the benefits of cakes, a small token of appreciation to frontline workers and emergency responders.

On Saturday, September 7, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, a special event will take place in Solingen, Germany, at the outdoor grounds of the Elisabeth-Roock-House, Wiener Str. 65. This event is a joint action by Karnevalsgesellschaft Muckemau and Lebensherbst e. V., and it aims to bring joy to the residents of the Elisabeth-Roock-House and to thank first responders, emergency services, and crisis intervention teams for their work on August 23.

Petra Krötzsch, Managing Director of Lebensherbst e. V., is the initiator of the event. She expressed her delight with the great response and willingness to help from the people of Solingen. The goal of the event is to express gratitude to the first responders and to bring a smile to the faces of the Elisabeth-Roock-House residents.

Lebensherbst e. V. was able to collect donations from the public to cover costs for the pancake batter and other expenses. Fresh pancakes will be served straight from the pan during the event. To reach as many first responders as possible, a buffer taxi service has been organized to deliver the pancakes to the stations.

Via social media, motorcycle and scooter riders were called upon to deliver the freshly baked treats. Hans-Joachim Ritter, President of KG Muckemau, and Petra Krötzsch agreed that Lebensherbst e. V. would cover costs and organize the event, while KG Muckemau volunteers would bake the pancakes.

The large amount of pancake batter was due to the cancellation of a festival. The event is open to all other pancake fans for a donation of 5 EUR per portion, with the donations being split equally between Lebensherbst e. V. and KG Muckemau.

Thomas Hack, the person who had the idea for the joint action with the clubs Karnevalsgesellschaft Muckemau and Lebensherbst e. V., is pleased with the cooperation and teamwork that has been shown. Petra Krötzsch also expressed her gratitude to Hans-Joachim Ritter and Thomas Hack for their support in making this event possible. Both associations are looking forward to a successful day and hope to bring a little happiness to the residents of the Elisabeth-Roock-House and to the first responders who work tirelessly to keep the community safe.
