Green Valley Ranch Poker Room Set to Reopen in Henderson

Good news for poker enthusiasts in Henderson, Nevada! After months of speculation, John Mehaffey at Vegas Advantage has confirmed the reopening of the poker room at Green Valley Ranch. The room, which closed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be the 20th live poker room in the Vegas Valley and the only one in suburban Henderson.

The new poker room will feature 16 tables, a reduction from the previous 22. However, players can expect a fresh environment with new tables, chairs, and TVs. The room will also be non-smoking and conveniently located near the sportsbook. Cash games and tournaments will make a comeback, but the fate of the $50 daily tournament remains uncertain.

The reopening date is yet to be confirmed, but December is the most likely month. This reopening is part of a $200 million property remodel and will see the poker room return to its original space. Green Valley Ranch joins Caesars and Planet Hollywood in resuming operations after pandemic closures. Notably, the reopening of the Green Valley Ranch poker room will occur later in 2025, not in late 2025 as previously reported.

The reopening of the Green Valley Ranch poker room is set to revitalize the poker scene in Henderson. With its 24-hour operation, it will once again serve as the region's only round-the-clock card room. Meanwhile, the closure of Poker Palace in North Las Vegas at the end of this month will reduce the total number of live poker rooms in the Vegas Valley to 19.
