Green Youth leader critically berates Söder harshly for aims of a comfortable life
Former Green Youth Leader Under Fire for Controversial Social Media Actions
Jette Nietzard, the former head of the Green Youth (Grüne Jugend) and co-chairwoman, has found herself in hot water following a controversial video she posted on TikTok. In the 50-second video, Nietzard referred to CSU chairman Markus Söder as a "bastard" and accused him of living a luxurious life, eating and traveling without working.
The video, which has since gone viral, is not the first time Nietzard has caused controversy on social media. Previously, she wore a sweater with the acronym "ACAB," which stands for "All Cops Are Bastards." This action also attracted criticism from within her own party.
Nietzard's social media actions have been heavily criticized by her own party, and it is rumoured that her resignation from her post may be related to this criticism. The party leadership has announced a conversation with Nietzard to discuss her controversial actions on social media.
Party leader Felix Banaszak called Nietzard's wearing of the sweater "unacceptable." In addition, Nietzard's allegations that Söder is rarely present at federal council meetings and in parliament have also been met with criticism.
As of the time of this article, Markus Söder has not reacted to the insults. The Green Youth's federal conference to elect new leadership, where Nietzard will no longer be a candidate, is scheduled for mid-October in Leipzig. Nietzard has announced that she will not be running again as federal speaker at the youth organization's federal congress.
This is not the first time Nietzard has faced criticism for her actions on social media. Her resignation from her post may signal a shift in the Green Youth's approach to social media and its role in political discourse. Only time will tell what the future holds for Nietzard and the Green Youth.
