In September 2026, a group of eager learners will embark on their careers as they begin their apprenticeships and dual studies in Chemnitz. The city council chamber will welcome 50 new apprentices and students, according to a recent announcement.
Mayor Ralph Burghart will preside over the event, marking the start of training for 24 administrative assistants, one geomatics student, eleven students in the higher general administrative service aiming for a "Bachelor of Laws", two road builders, four emergency medical technicians, two specializing in bath operations, two gardeners in garden and landscape construction, one animal caretaker, one civil engineer, and two social pedagogues with a goal of a "Bachelor of Arts".
The wide range of professions reflects Chemnitz's commitment to meeting the city's demand for young talent. The NSH Technology GmbH, BARMER, and various hairdressing businesses in Chemnitz are also offering training positions for mechatronics technicians, health care management clerks, and apprenticeships in the hairdressing profession for 2026.
