In the heart of the North Hesse region, our city welcomed 14 new colleagues at the beginning of August. The "welcoming committee" consisted of Mayor Henry Richter, head of department Hartmut Wicke, equal opportunities officer Stefanie Teuteberg, Jennifer Britten from the works council, and other city representatives.

The event was held at the Second Home youth center, where the new apprentices were invited for a "taster session". The day was filled with excitement as the newcomers got a glimpse of their future work environment.

Mayor Henry Richter spoke at the event, emphasizing the importance of team growth, open communication, and enjoying one's work. He highlighted that our city offers exciting tasks and opportunities for development.

The new hires include three interns, two cooperative education students, two FSJ graduates, two Piva trainees, and one inspector trainee. Four of the new colleagues will become administrative assistants. The day was a perfect blend of work and camaraderie, complete with vegan and beef sausages from the grill and drinks.

Mayor Robin Rieksneuwรถhner, the mayor of Verl, where some of the new trainees started their training, also extended his welcome. He emphasized the importance of such events in fostering a sense of belonging and unity among the new team members.
