In the upcoming weeks, residents and visitors of Baunatal will experience changes in their transportation due to construction work on two level crossings.

Beginning from Friday, August 8, the level crossing at Kirchbaunaer Street will be closed for approximately four days due to construction work. During this time, a detour has been established via Theodor-Heuss-Allee, Rudolf-Diesel-Straße, and Friedrich-Ebert-Allee.
Simultaneously, the level crossing "Kleingartenverein" in Altenbauna will also remain closed until August 15 due to track construction work. This closure will affect the Regionalbahn Kassel (RBK) line between Mattenberg and Baunatal, where track and crossing renewals including sleeper replacements are taking place.
The North Hessian Transport Association (NVV) is informing passengers about the closures and restrictions at the Central Bus and Train Station (ZOB) in Altenbauna through appropriate notices at the stops. Specific regional or tram lines affected by these closures have not been detailed for these exact dates, but disruptions and substitute services are indicated due to the infrastructure work in Baunatal.
