In the picturesque district of Gronau, Germany, a significant water pipeline cleaning operation is scheduled to take place from September 1st to September 5th. The operation will be carried out by the specialized company, Pohl and Timm GmbH from Reinbek, using an eco-friendly air-water purge method.

The cleaning process will involve turbulence and an increase in the flow rate of water. Residents in the affected area are advised to take necessary precautions. To help flush out any turbidity, residents are encouraged to open their faucets. However, it's essential to note that during this operation, residents should not take water from the tap.

Gronau Utilities have already notified the affected customers in writing. For any additional information, residents can contact Gronau Utilities at phone number 02562/717-0 or 02562/717-803.

The affected area is bounded by August-Hahn-Straße (from Kaiserstiege to Viktoriastraße), Gildehauser Straße (from Südbahnstraße to Krummer Weg), and Gildehauser Straße (from Krummer Weg to Brechter Weg) to the west; the state border with Lower Saxony to the north; Hermann-Löns-Weg (from Brechter Weg to Krähenweg) to the east; and Krähenweg, Kaiserstiege (from Lerchenweg to Reginastraße), Elisabethstraße, Kaiserstiege (from Heerweg to Vereinsstraße), and the Münster-Gronau railway line (from Vereinsstraße to Gildehauser Straße) to the south.

It's important to note that the air-water purge method does not require chemical additives, making it a safer and more environmentally friendly option for the cleaning operation. To ensure that faucets are not opened during the cleaning process, Gronau Utilities recommend closing the main shutoff valves in front of the water meter.

Residents are encouraged to follow these guidelines to ensure the success of the water pipeline cleaning operation and maintain the quality of their water supply. Stay informed and contact Gronau Utilities for any questions or concerns.
