Lippstadt, a city rich in history and greenery, is offering a unique opportunity for nature lovers to delve into its past and present. On Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 5:00 PM, a guided city tour will take participants on a journey through the city's picturesque avenues and green spaces.

This tour is a testament to the vision of Friedrich Blankenburg, who served as the Stiftsrentmeister and was the initiator of Lippstadt's avenues. Blankenburg's influence extends beyond the city's layout, as he was also the founder of the Lippstadt "Beautification Association." His efforts, initiated approximately 150 years ago, have shaped Lippstadt's greenery and the city's green spaces around the turn of the millennium.

The tour, designed to last approximately 90 minutes, will intertwine the history of protected trees with the city's history. The meeting point for the tour is at the town hall on the day of the event. The tour will commence promptly at 5:00 PM.

Participants are required to register for the tour, either at the city information desk at the town hall or by phone at 02941-58515. The fee for adults is 8.00 euros, while children, teenagers, and students pay 4.00 euros. The number of participants is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

This tour is a must-do for anyone interested in Lippstadt's history and its lush green spaces. So, mark your calendars for Sunday, September 7, 2025, and join us for a memorable exploration of Lippstadt's green heart.
