In a series of events that unfolded on Tuesday afternoon, a 40-year-old German landscape gardener from Rhineland-Palatinate, living alone in Ludwigshafen, was arrested following a shooting incident that injured a 45-year-old resident from Bielefeld.
The incident began around 3:00 PM when neighbours alerted the police to the disturbance. Upon arrival, the police found that the Stieglitzweg was closed off for the operation. The suspect, who was later identified as the 40-year-old from Ludwigshafen, had reportedly shot at police officers when approached, but thankfully, none of the officers were harmed during the incident.

Despite the initial confrontation, the suspect did not harm any police officers during the incident. The 40-year-old sustained minor injuries during the arrest, but he was overpowered and taken into custody around 5:00 PM.
