Gunfire erupted at a bar outside Houston, leaving 6 injured, one fatally, according to officials. The culprit remains at large.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, a tragic incident unfolded at Alas Locas in Liberty County, Texas. The shooting, which occurred just before 2:30 a.m., claimed one life and left five others injured.
The suspect, yet to be identified, is believed to have acted alone. Witnesses reported that the individual left the bar, returned to the patio area, and opened fire on patrons. The suspect then fled the scene in a full-size white van with no windows and a long scratch on the side.
Authorities have released images of the suspect, but his name and current status remain undisclosed. Two of the injured individuals were taken to hospitals by helicopter in critical condition. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
This incident at Alas Locas near Cleveland, Texas, marks the second mass shooting at a bar in the Houston metropolitan area this year.
Investigators collected at least 20 shell casings at the scene, including Rangers from the Texas Department of Public Safety. ABC News contributed to this report.
