A 40-year-old suspect is at large following fatal shootings in the town of Menden, Sauerland, according to the latest update from Annika Berg, spokesperson for the Arnsberg public prosecutor's office.

The incident, which took place in the town, has left a 49-year-old Turkish man critically injured. As of now, the victim is unconscious and out of immediate danger, according to Berg.

The suspect, who holds Serbian-Montenegrin citizenship, is accused of shooting the 49-year-old man. No further information about the suspect's motive has been disclosed.
