In the heart of Neuwied city centre, a special celebration took place to honour Ilse Zunft, the owner of "Zunft - Occupational Safety and Club Supplies." The business, which has been serving the community for 50 years, celebrated its golden anniversary with the attendance of Mayor Jan Einig and City Manager Michaela Ullrich.

Founded by Ilse Zunft and her late husband in 1974, "Zunft" offers a diverse range of products, including engraved trophies, work shoes, NATO trousers, specialized knives, canteens, and over 1300 other items. The business, which initially opened at Langendorfer Straße 108, moved to its current location at Langendorfer Straße 114 after 27 years.

Ilse Zunft, now 75 years old, continues to enjoy her work and personally advises customers, demonstrating her deep knowledge of every product in her inventory. Living above her business in the city centre, she also maintains contact with neighbouring business owners.

Mayor Jan Einig congratulated Ilse Zunft on her achievement, emphasising that running a business successfully for half a century is a remarkable feat. City Manager Michaela Ullrich stated that traditional businesses like "Zunft - Occupational Safety and Club Supplies" contribute to the character of the city centre.
